1000 Strong has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party software development kits. The only frameworks it links are Apple's own. The honest version of this document is therefore also the short one.

What is stored

Your profile (an optional name, age, sex, bodyweight and training experience), your programme, every set you log, and any notes you add. All of it is written to your device's storage and nowhere else.

Apple Health

If you connect Apple Health, the app reads your bodyweight, sleep, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, wrist temperature, date of birth and biological sex. It is read-only — nothing is ever written back to Health. These readings fill in your profile and adjust the weights the app suggests. You can refuse, or withdraw, access at any time in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices, and the app keeps working without it.

What is not collected

There is no account and no sign-in. There is no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking of any kind. Nothing you enter is transmitted anywhere — not to the developer, and not to anyone else. The In-App Purchase system from Apple is the one part that uses the network, and it carries no training data at all.

Deleting your data

Settings › Data › Reset all local data permanently erases your profile, programme and complete training history from the device. Deleting the app removes everything as well. Because no copy is held anywhere else, that is the whole of it — there is no separate request to make.

Children

The app is not directed at children and asks for an age of 13 or over. In regions where a higher age of consent applies to personal data, a parent or guardian should agree before it is used.

This website

This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and asks you for nothing, beyond remembering which language you chose. Our host records ordinary server logs, as every web host does.

Not medical advice

The application provides general training guidance and is not medical advice. Stop an exercise if you experience sharp pain, dizziness, chest pain or unusual shortness of breath, and seek appropriate professional advice.
